First Place, Last Place

At the SpicyDonut household we can often be heard drunkenly yelling. “Give these people air!” which is a totally random total recall quote. Although im sure most of these have made it into the repertoire from time to time. Incidentally, seen the new trailer for the expendables… looks badass!

We have been passing this around since our friend Matt showed us this video. There’s layers of humor to this. Initially its the game glitch of the goat, but thats just the icing. The  cake is the guys narrating and laughing. So infectious! I love those moments when you truly just lose your mind an laugh your ass off. The game is Call of Juarez, so it might be worth picking up out of a bargain bin someday just for that moment. All hail the mystic powers of ladder goat!

Awesome video showcasing some amazing video/ 3d combo work. I love Donkey Kong on the empire state building. That was genius! I’ve always been interested in learning more about camera tracking and marrying it to 3d animation but I’ve never been quite able to pull it off. I’m sure these kind of projects require some expensive specialized plugins to make it work. Hopefully they’ll post a behind the scenes type thing to see how they did it. I dont know which i like better. the song or all the eighties ninja fighting. I’ve been talking to a friend about revisiting the american ninja series and im sure hilarity shall ensue. I mean 1 part all american white guy ninja, 1 part low budget 80s action flick, mix them and you have to get the elixir of the ironically hilarious gods.

I have an Interesting history with horror movies. I was absolutely terrified of them until i was probably 13-14. I remember my parents taking me to see total recall in theaters and us having to leave 20 minutes in. Which I dont know if it really is a horror film but that just gives you more of an idea of my fear. But i eventually grew up and in to horror. It became a thirst for a while, renting the backlog of the video store and spending summers watching everything i could. I realized there aren’t that many great horror films. Or maybe that there are too many bad ones. Wading through “976-evil” and “slumber party massacre 2” (which is amazing in its own way. Drill guitar ftw) I only came across a few that really stuck with me. Personal favorites like the shining, poltergeist and the thing to name a few. Anywho these posters are cool redesigns and I hope we see more on these on theater walls in the future.

Street Fighter One Man Band – Watch more Game Trailers

I want this guy at my wedding. No, Seriously… play me down the aisle to this because its epic. I have interesting memories of street fighter. When i was pretty young i remember their being a machine set up at the grocery store and i would watch all the older kids playing and yelling at the game. Being new to the whole curse word thing i remember hearing a plethora of angry “fucks” and “cocksuckers”. I was always to intimidated by that to play but i would watch. Then of course in high school I spent many an hour just playing with my nerdy group of friends. Arguments between which was better, third strike or alpha 3 often ended in a tournament frenzy. I like playing Akuma… Which, apparently, instantly negates all of my winnings because he is considered the cheapest character. I usually argue that you can be cheap with any character but no one agrees.

Yay these new Muppet songs make me happy. This isn’t as fun as  the Muppet bohemian rhapsody but still cute and clever and perfect timing for Easter. I’m happy to see the muppets throwing away the disney sensibilities of the 90s and going dark again. hopefully the rumors of a new muppet movie will do it justice… on another note here’s one of my favorite dark muppet videos

The break dancing rebels and gangsta ewoks made this video for me. Yeah im a star wars geek. Big surprise there. I owe it to my grandmother and her laser disc copy of the first three movies. I used to just watch them over and over anytime we would go visit. this was when i was probably six or seven… be kind of weird if i still went over to my grandmoms house and watched star wars on laser disc. Ah Laser Disc I remember you fondly. 4000 times the size of a cd and i still had to flip you over halfway through the movie. Why did it fail? WHY?

For those of you who haven’t heard of Benny Lava, prepare to have your life changed forever. After I watched it, I watched it once a day for a week. I know most of the lyrics and have accosted all walks of life with it.
